Mediation And Conflict Resolution
Often, Court is not the best place to resolve conflicts. Mediation permits the parties in conflict to craft their own solution rather than allowing a judge to impose a decision upon them. Effective mediation produces enduring results minimizing future conflict. Dr. Cassidy is an experienced mediator and facilitator. Resolved matters include: professional privileges, appropriateness of care, patient/family issues, incapacity/guardianship, health care quality, adverse events, and end of life issues.
Health Surrogate Support
A health care surrogate makes medical decisions for you when you are unable to make them for yourself. When you do not have a relative or close friend to be your health care surrogate, Dr. Cassidy can provide these services for you after learning about your wishes and deeply held values. She can also assist in preparing individuals to act as a health care surrogate by teaching them the questions to ask and how to decide whether or not to agree to procedures or treatments. Learn about the types of decisions that might need to be made and document your wishes, giving your family the tools to ensure you get the care you want and need.
